The Prospect Trust Careers Services Department are delighted to be applying for reassessment for the Quality in Careers Standard Award.
The Quality in Careers Standard is the national quality award for careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) in schools, colleges and work-based learning and fully complies with the Department for Education’s ‘Statutory Guidance’.
The College, in its commitment to provide excellent careers education information, advice and guidance to all its students, will be applying to renew its Quality in Career Standards award for the sixth time.
Since our last reassessment in 2022, the government has released their updated statutory careers guidance for schools and guidance for further education colleges and sixth form colleges. We have ensured that we have implemented the amendments, particularly in relation to the strengthened legal duty on all schools and academies to ensure that all young people have access to providers of technical education and apprenticeships.
The Prospect Trust Careers Services team continually strives to offer access to a comprehensive range of careers and employment support to all students.
Nikki Coleman, Head of CEIAG said that, “The standard is strongly recommended by, and fully complies with the department for education’s statutory guidance. Achieving this award will demonstrate that we are providing excellent careers education, information, advice and guidance for all our students”.
