Trustees have been exploring the mutual benefits to be gained in working formally - and even more closely - with several local schools as part of The Prospect Trust.
One option that is thought to have huge potential benefit for the Trust and the community is closer cooperation with Tomlinscote School in Frimley; both the College and the School are highly successful institutions delivering services to young people in the community we jointly serve. Tomlinscote has been an academy since 2013, part of the Surrey Heath Education Trust.
Therefore the boards of both Trusts have recommended that a detailed review and due diligence process be undertaken to explore the full potential, the benefits and the disadvantages, such a development offers.
A period of information gathering, involving Trustees and key staff, is now underway. Our intention is to complete the review in the next two months to allow an informed decision to be made as soon as possible thereafter.
