Congratulations to Beth Ingleton, a second year graphic design student, whose design was chosen to enhance the 30m long corridor in the sports complex at the College.
Our graphic design students were given a brief by the College’s marketing team to create a design that would be printed and applied directly to the entire wall. The brief asked for a sporting design that incorporated bright colours and motivational words, which would inspire students and visitors alike and provide a wow factor. Beth’s design did just that!
There were 18 different design ideas submitted, which made it very difficult to choose – thank you to all the students who submitted their brilliant designs.
Beth said about her design, “It was really exciting and I was thrilled when it was chosen! It's a great opportunity to have my work on display, especially on such a big scale. It's amazing to see the finished product and I think it creates a lovely atmosphere when you enter the building.”
Chris Saltmarsh, subject tutor for graphic design said, “Not only does Beth’s design celebrate the sports that students can get involved in whilst at College, it has transformed a once basic space, into one that is far more dynamic and visually exciting. Her hard work and patience in creating this wonderful work can now be admired by students, staff and visitors for many years to come. Congratulations Beth!”
The artwork was installed at the beginning of term by the team from Complete Sign Solutions – take a look at them in action below and make sure you visit the sports complex to see the fantastic design.
