The Student Association have once again planned and produced the College’s annual talent show, Farnborough’s Got Talent, and what a huge success it was! A variety of acts performed in the Prospect Theatre in front of a lively audience and our panel of esteemed judges. College staff Matt Sheppard, Stamatia Mukherjee and Adrian Clayton offered their expert opinion on all the performances, helping our audience to decide who would be their 2018 winner.
Second year student Max Fulham, who in his spare time is a comedian ventriloquist (and winner of the 2017 competition!), hosted the evening. Max entertained the crowd throughout the show and announced the winner of the audience’s vote.
Third place was awarded to ‘4Motion’, four first year students who performed a contemporary dance act. In second place was duo Cyd and Ali who performed a very moving and unique version of ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’. First year Matthew Quilliam was crowned the winner after a very cheeky and entertaining version of ‘When I’m Cleaning Windows’ on his banjolele.
President of the Student Association Francesca Davies commented, “All the acts were spectacular! Thank you so much to everyone who was part of this fantastic evening.”
Senior Curriculum Manager for Drama and Theatre and judge on the evening Matt Sheppard said, “Absolutely fantastic! The audience were thoroughly entertained – our host Max was effortless and funny and with such talented competitors, it was a feast of entertainment enjoyed by all.”
