The red carpet was rolled out once again for the annual Media and Film Awards, a celebration of all the outstanding achievements students have made throughout the year.
The work on display was some of the best in recent years, with outstanding music videos, short films and animations wowing the audience of students, their families and friends of the department. The evening was also a chance to recognise the contribution of the fantastic staff and in particular, Aidan Hamilton, who is stepping down from his role as Senior Curriculum Manager for media and film at the end of this academic year.

Dan McGrath, Curriculum Manager of film studies at the College said, “Tonight has been a fantastic showcase of the wonderful work produced by our students and highlights their dedication, as well as that of the teaching team and technical support staff. The ethos of the department is simple, we do all we can to allow our students to be the best they can be under the support, guidance and professional leadership of our manager Aidan Hamilton. Moving forward we will continue to develop our students with this approach and look forward to inviting Aidan back where he can sit back and enjoy the evening for the wonderful spectacle that it is”.
