Staff, students, family and friends were treated to a private viewing of this year’s Summer Art Exhibition. The exhibition is an annual showcase of selected works completed by 350 second year students as part of their A level studies. It celebrates their remarkable achievements and provides guests with the chance to marvel at the students’ creativity.
The work on display highlights the richly varied work produced by students taking the art programmes offered at the College - fine art, graphic design, photography and fashion textiles. There is something different to see around every corner at this exhibition. Amongst the artwork, the fashion textile students put on an excellent presentation of their projects in a fashion show.
Many of the students featured at the Exhibition will be continuing their art and design studies, either going on to foundation and degree courses. Farnborough has for many years been amongst the top achieving colleges for A level art and design and provides a fantastic footing for those wishing to pursue their studies in this area.
We were delighted to welcome the MP for Aldershot, Leo Docherty to the event along with other councillors and friends of the College. Mr Docherty commented, “I was delighted as ever to visit the College and was hugely impressed with the standard and variety of the work on display.”
