Zoe's artwork on display at the 'Secret Aldershot' Exhibition

The work of second year student Zoe was recently featured in the ‘Secret Aldershot’ photo exhibition at Aldershot Enterprise Centre.  The exhibition, opened by Nathalie Garcia from The Wessex Trust, launched ‘Secret Aldershot’, a new book written by local author Paul Vickers, which lifts the lid on the historical secrets of the Hampshire town.

Zoe drew her inspiration from the book, in particular the cinema section, and created three black and white photographs featuring a model styled to look like a typical Hollywood movie star.  Zoe loved that the film used in projection was sometimes burned by the chemicals used to process it so decided to burn the edges of her photographs for that authentic look.

Zoe, who is studying A level photography, sociology and Spanish, commented, “I really enjoyed working on this project as it paid tribute to the fascinating history of Aldershot, and it was amazing to see my own photographs in an exhibition!”
