Students complete local work placements
Posted on 26 October 2018

Our level 3 health and social care students recently completed work experience at over 100 fantastic providers in the local area.  These ranged from The Royal Surrey Hospital, pre-schools, infant, junior and community special schools as well as residential care homes.

Students travelled to organisations in Lightwater, Fleet, Camberley, Wokingham, Chobham, Guildford and Sandhurst in order to help develop their employability skills and explore what career options are available to them.

The students had a brilliant time, and in many cases have been asked to return to their placement, or have been offered part-time jobs!  The feedback received from the organisations confirms just how fantastic our students were:

Panda’s Nursery commented that Prabha was the best student they have ever had on a work experience placement.

Tootsies Day Nursery were extremely happy with Charleigh, so much so that they will be happy to offer her a job in future.  They have been very impressed with her attitude.

Quetta Park Pre School said that Deeps is the best work experience student they have ever had.  She is always proactive and engaged in her work.

Corinna Lodge Care Home commented that Nusrat was amazing and had a wonderful calm, caring manner - she would make a fantastic nurse or carer in the future.

This has been an invaluable experience for our health and social care students - thank you to everyone involved.
