Our Performing Arts Students

Our Performing Arts and Drama and Theatre Studies students have been extremely busy over the past few weeks!

Our first year Drama students recently enjoyed a workshop with renowned dance theatre company ‘Frantic Assembly’.

Frantic Assembly has developed into one of the UK's most successful and best loved theatre companies.  Their ambition is that they continue to learn and remain committed to making brave and bold theatre.

The informative workshop was enjoyed by all and helped our students to developed skills in musicality, teamwork and focus.  Students were also shown how to structure a narrative and how to create accomplished performances using lifts and contact work.

The Performing Arts Department were delighted to welcome former Farnborough student and West End star, Grace Mouat, to the College recently.  Grace lead a Musical Theatre workshop for our students, which included repertoire and vocals from ‘& Juliet’ and ‘Legally Blonde’.

Grace studied Performing Arts at the College and then went onto study at the Guildford School of Acting.  After graduation, Grace went straight into a UK Tour of ‘Six The Musical’, before performing in ‘Be More Chill’, ‘& Juliet’ and ‘Legally Blonde’.  Grace is now getting ready to start Rodgers and Hammerstein’s ‘Cinderella’, which opens in Manchester in November this year.

Grace led a fantastic workshop that gave the students a great insight into the industry and prepared them for future progression into further training.  Grace then finished with a Q&A session about the industry, audition process and life after college. We are extremely lucky and proud to have Grace back at Farnborough, and hope to have her back again soon!
