Graphic Design Technician

Salary: D £17,803-£19,983
This is an exciting opportunity to assist the day to day running of an ever expanding, dynamic and creative Graphic Design department in an outstanding Sixth Form College. The role is likely to suit a recent Graphic Design graduate or an individual that may be considering a future career in Graphic Design teaching, as the term time work pattern leaves plenty of time to refine and practice your skills.
The Graphic Design department has five members of teaching staff and 400+ students. The department is extremely well resourced and continually delivers outstanding results, with many of our students progressing onto Graphic Design.
We are seeking an individual who displays the following characteristics:-
- A genuine passion for the subject;
- Excellent Adobe skills;
- Excellent subject knowledge with a range of digital and hands on skills;
- Desire to continue to develop Graphic knowledge and skills;
- An ability to multi task;
- Enthusiasm for working with 16-18 year old students;
- A positive commitment to the needs of students from a variety of backgrounds;
- Outstanding communication skills.

Whilst this opportunity is initially a 12 month fixed term contract to support the development of an existing member of support staff, it is likely that this may be extended.
