Working Pattern:               Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week, term time only

The Prospect Trust is a leading Multi-Academy Trust in the South of England, with an aim of providing outstanding education for all learners within a family of local academies. There are currently three academies within the Trust: The Sixth Form College Farnborough, Tomlinscote School and Frimley Church of England Junior School.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Study Support Team within an outstanding Sixth Form College. We are seeking a proactive individual to provide an excellent level of support to both staff and students in the College.

The Role

The primary function of this role, as part of the Study Support team, is to provide high-quality individualised learning support to students to enable them to gain equal access to their course that empowers them to develop strategies to overcome their difficulties and to promote independence. The Learning Mentor will deliver individualised support to students on the SEND register, both in class and outside of lessons. Planning and reviewing support, ensuring access to the curriculum and that progress is effectively tracked and monitored. Some administrative duties will also be required, e.g. with the JCQ exam access arrangement process, EHCP admin and other relevant duties.

The Learning Mentor will contribute to the achievement of the College’s single corporate objective – improving students’ achievements – by undertaking specific responsibilities as outlined in the job description.
