We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and experienced Physics specialist with an excellent teaching background and management experience in either a school or sixth form.

The Curriculum Area of Physics
The College seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher or manager with the experience and/or ability to lead our Physics curriculum area. This year there are 388 students studying physics, taught by a team of five full-time teachers and with the support of two dedicated technicians.
The Post of Physics Senior Curriculum Manager
We are looking for a manager who displays the following characteristics:

In addition we are looking for a candidate who recognises the critical importance of developing our students’ literacy skills and will implement this as an integral part of their teaching.
Candidates will be part of a team where resources and ideas are freely shared for the greater good of the department. There is a long history within the department of contributing to and using common resources, including lesson plans, homework assignments and tests. The team is friendly and supportive, and highly motivated to provide our students with the very best experience of A-level physics. A high proportion of our students progress to physics and engineering degrees, including some at Oxford and Cambridge. The successful applicant is expected to be flexible, not afraid to meet challenges, and innovative in their approach to curriculum delivery.
