We are looking for a passionate English Subject Tutor to join the high achieving English Department. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver inspiring lessons, bring knowledge and experience to the curriculum, and have a desire to teach beyond the specification, believing every student can succeed. Furthermore, they will have an appreciation that the commitment to delivering outstanding educational outcomes goes beyond the classroom.
Please specify in your application if you have a preference to teach English Literature, English Language or a combination of both.
All staff within the Trust need to have a commitment to professional development, an enthusiasm for teamwork and a passion for improvement.
While a teaching qualification is desirable, we will consider applications from non- qualified graduates. Graduates looking to start a career in teaching at the Sixth Form College will be allocated a reduced timetable with comprehensive support and mentoring. Future opportunities to obtain a teaching qualification will be considered.

The English department:
The English department currently consists of nine specialist teachers who teach A level English Language, English Literature, English Language and Literature and GCSE English to over 650 students. Subject tutors are committed to maximising student success and progression.
The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic to work in a considerate, collaborative and friendly environment, as the department often creates and shares their resources. Their primary motivation should be to maximise student potential and work to meet the goals of the department as set out above. Flexibility and a passion for teaching and learning is paramount, with excellent work ethic and subject knowledge.
