This evening event is being held for parents/guardians of students starting the College in September 2017.
Transition Evening is an initiative providing an additional chance for you to visit the College and to enable us to explain our student support systems which may be different from those you will have been used to when dealing with schools.
We have arranged the evenings so that you can attend two different talks in one night. One will be presented by a Director of Faculty who will describe the structures we have in place to show how we support academic progress. The other, a presentation by a Personal Tutor, will explain how the pastoral system is an integral part of a student’s experience of College life.
Transition Evenings are running over four consecutive evenings to allow flexibility; you only need to attend one evening. Availability for each evening is limited so, in order to be able to secure your preferred option, we would recommend early booking. For practical reasons we ask you to consider whether one parent/guardian can attend the evening and then share the information with other family members.
You have been emailed a link to follow to book your place. Having booked your place, your ticket (which will be emailed to you) will provide the details of where to go upon arrival along with confirmation of timings. There will be a 15 minute interval between the two talks, during which time you will have the chance to speak to other prospective parents/guardians whilst refreshments are being served.
