Operation Wallacea is an international wildlife conservation research organisation which gives school/college groups led by teachers an amazing opportunity to assist in real-world, publishable scientific research in some of the world’s most beautiful and threatened biodiversity hotspots. These are real research programmes the students are joining and are designed to provide conservation outputs and financial benefits to local communities to protect their forests and reefs.
As such, these expeditions are targeted specifically at students studying subjects such as Environmental Science, Biology and Geography or those planning careers in those areas. The students can use the expedition for an EPQ and they have access to publishing scientists and large data sets. In addition the students qualify for a University Award by completing the expedition.
This information evening will be centred around the trips to:
Transylvania 2020 and Ecuador/Galapagos 2021
Please visit http://www.opwall.com/ for more information on what Operation Wallacea is all about or contact the Environmental Science, Biology or Geography departments at college.
