There will be no timetabled lessons on 4 February – all students have been allocated this day to complete the National Numeracy Challenge. This task is part of every student’s employability curriculum and is a compulsory part of their programme of study. Raising standards of numeracy is a high priority for the Government and we are pleased to support this at Farnborough.
The National Numeracy Challenge aims to transform negative attitudes towards maths and numeracy which are key employability skills.
The instructions for the National Numeracy Challenge will be shared with all students in advance. Please note that the Learning Resource Centres will not be available for students to use on this day.
On this day, all teaching staff at the College will be engaged in interviewing prospective students from our Partner Schools.
