This is an exciting opportunity to join the Performing Arts Department within an outstanding Sixth Form College. We are seeking a proactive individual to provide an excellent level of support to both staff and students in the College.

The Post of Bank Theatre Technician 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to work within the theatre department of an outstanding Sixth Form College. We are seeking an individual with experience of providing support in the areas of lighting, sound and AV for events run by outside agencies, staff and students. The post holder will also be required to ensure the safe and sensible use of College resources, and to assist in reaching the highest standards possible in all performances and presentations.  They can expect to be supported by our theatre manager.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:-

  • Ability to provide technical support to key stakeholders during productions and events;
  • Preference for candidates to have sound desk experience;
  • Sound knowledge of health & safety and licensing requirements;
  • An ability to take on the roles of Lighting, Sound, AV Operator and Production Assistant. 

The successful candidate will be offered work on a casual basis as and when required depending on theatre events.  These might take place in either the day or the evening.
