Students from the Music Department inspired a hundred-strong audience at Arborfield Garrison Church on Thursday 21 May with a varied programme of works from Bach to Gershwin. The charity concert, in aid of the REME Benevolent Fund, attracted an audience from across Hampshire and Berkshire and showcased the remarkable talents of the College’s students.

Speaking after the concert, Curriculum Manager Harry White said, “Arborfield is a highly respected and well attended concert society that has always been a welcome home to Farnborough students. How our students, in the midst of exams, manage to put together a programme of such quality and delivered which supreme professionalism is beyond me! We hope that the money raised through the students’ efforts continues to help the good causes that Arborfield supports.”

Founder of the recital series, Dr Rita Le Var said, “What a wonderful, joyous and first-class concert your students gave us all today! It was truly wonderful and I had nothing but high praise from everyone there who spoke to me! The Sixth Form College has made a huge contribution to our concert series and we have been the beneficiaries on so many occasions.”
