Steve Lambert working with students

The inspirational Steve Lambert, Director of the acclaimed Badac Theatre Company, paid a visit to our AS Drama students to work with them on devising techniques to support their second year of study. The company was formed in 1999 and concentrates on producing theatre work that highlights human rights issues.

First year student, Alice Marshall said, "It was really amazing the way Steve got you thinking about relevant subjects and current affairs and the passionate way he encouraged us to use these in the creation of theatre."

Drama student, Tom Dodd added, "Steve really engaged me in thinking about what is going on in the world and inspired me to think about how I am going to approach theatre in the future."

Senior Curriculum Manager of Drama and Theatre, Matt Sheppard commented, "Steve has been engaging and inspiring our students for several years now and the work he does with us is vital in opening up the way theatre can be used to interrogate subject matter and lift the lid on some of the dark corners of the world we live in..."
