Pink Day 2016
Posted on 21 October 2016

A sea of pink washed over the College as last Friday marked our annual Pink Day, which aims to raise funds for breast cancer research.  Our Student Association organised pink candyfloss, breast cancer charity tattoos (temporary of course!) and a fabulous live lunch, which saw students and staff dancing in the Quad to some very soulful, acoustic tunes.

Azraf Bor, Student Association Charities Officer, “The College does not only provide us with an outstanding education, but supports us in helping the local community.  Thousands of people suffer from breast cancer each year so we wanted to raise awareness by asking everybody to wear pink!  My ethos as Charities Officer is, ‘it doesn't matter how much we donate but it's the giving that counts.’  I am so impressed and happy to see the generosity of the students and staff at our college - we raised over £500!  Thank you to everyone who donated and took part and we hope to organise successful charity events in the future.
