Students from the music department inspired a 100-strong audience at Arborfield Garrison Church on 25 November with a varied programme of works drawn from the 19th to the 21st centuries. The fund-raising concert, in aid of a variety of the Church's charitable causes, attracted an audience from across Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire and showcased the remarkable talents of the College’s students.
Speaking after the concert, Curriculum Manager Harry White said, "Arborfield is a highly respected and well attended concert society and we have enjoyed many years of outstanding recitals there. It has always proved a warm, receptive home for our students, giving them an invaluable performance experience."
Founder of the recital series, Dr Rita Le Var said, "This was a truly outstanding concert. The standard was so very high and all who witnessed it were inspired by the talents of these musicians. The Sixth Form College has made a huge contribution to our concert series and we have been the beneficiaries on so many occasions; this time raising more money than in any previous lunchtime recital. Thank you!"
