Layna and Sena Miyazaki at the competition
Congratulations to students Sena and Layna Miyazaki who recently attended the World Tap Dance Championships in Riesa, Germany. This competition is the only and sole officially accepted world dance sport championship in show and tap dances.
Sena and Layna were part of Team GB (called “Tap Attack”) who achieved an incredible result. Their ‘Production’ came first, making them World Champions! They also received another two gold medals for 'Formation' and 'Junior Duet', as well as two silver medal and one bronze medal in other categories.
Sena and Layna's ‘Adult Duet’ came seventh overall, an amazing achievement. The GB team’s spirit was something special, with every dancer no matter what age coming together and helping take care of each other.
