Last week, the Student Association held our annual Raising and Giving (RAG) Week. A fun packed week saw students get involved in a variety of activities raising money for charity. Three charities were chosen, the Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust, Christopher's Smile and the Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre who will all receive a share of the £1576 grand total.
Students from across the College volunteered to help at lunchtimes with cake and Krispy Kreme doughnut sales and an ice cream van for the hungry hordes. Inflatable gladiator battles, leg waxing and sponge throwing was on offer for the more adventurous and there were plenty of talented musicians, singers and cheerleaders putting on a show to entertain the masses. All these and many more activities throughout the week encouraged everyone on campus to put their hand in their pocket and donate what they could.
Olly Allen, Publications Officer for the Student Association commented, "RAG Week was a huge success and it was great to see fantastic results from months of planning. It was brilliant for the whole College to come together to take part in all the events and raise so much money for charity. Every single donation was really appreciated!”
