Students and staff after the match
On Friday 5 May the College took part in the Bradley Hooper Challenge, with a basketball match between the Student Association and PE teachers. It was a tense match; students were leading through the first half, then the teachers snuck ahead to make it 18-15 with 30 seconds to play. A nail-biting finish saw a brilliant shot from student Steve Tadewos make the tie and end the game at a very respectable 18 all.
Brad Hooper, a former student of Farnham Heath End School, where many of our students come from, tragically lost his life in a motocross accident in 2014. In 2015 the Bradley Hooper Challenge was set up with the aim of carrying on Brad’s legacy. Their aim is to encourage schools and organisations within the community to participate in sporting challenges. It is a fitting tribute to a sport mad school boy, with all money raised going towards the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, which attended him that day.
