21 first year psychology students visited The Kia Oval in London for the annual British Psychological Society Conference. Students have the opportunity to see the range of career paths available to them having studied psychology. During the day, students learnt from experts about their current research and how it shapes the world around them.
This year, the group learnt about conversation analysis, the psychology of politicians and how they persuade others and the concept of social identity with contemporary world issues. The conference finished with an eye-opening talk on magic and how it exploits the gaps in human consciousness.
