THINK! Road Safety Campaign
Posted on 31 May 2018

Students were recently given the fantastic opportunity to show off their media production skills in partnership with a leading expert.  Latimer Group, who collaborate with young talent to create campaigns for local, national and international companies, offered our students work experience to assist them with producing new Key Stage 3 resources for the Government THINK! Road Safety programme.  Students took on leading roles in the videos, recorded voice overs and produced parts of the photography.

14 students were involved in what was a fantastic day.  They all gained valuable insight into production company processes, from the brief to completion.  The final result was two brilliant films, the first entitled ‘It’s cool, it’s not cool’ featuring the work of student cartoonist Apollo Petrova, who also appears in the piece showing how to travel safely.

Students Adam Ratz, Shubichhya Gurung, Tamim Almahdi, Thurgasri Sivaruban, Izzy Woolven, Cerys McKenna, Chloe Streak, Mollie Putman-Trimmer, Sophie Fleet, Viktoria Petrova, Jasmine Cousins, Abigail Roots, Ella Federico and Nathaniel Hindle worked on the second film which encourages children to ‘See, Think and Speak up’ in risky road safety situations.

Thank you to Latimer Group for approaching the College and to all those in front and behind the scenes.
