At the end of last term, the graphic design department, alongside their Student Representatives, ran a Christmas card design competition. As an additional opportunity for students to stretch and challenge their creative skills, the department launched a competition with the brief, “to design a Christmas card in conjunction with the Executive Office for the College’s corporate mail-out.”
Having received a number of fantastic submissions, the winning design was created by second year student Hannah. The design for the corporate mail-out was seen by hundreds of people; the Principal has a very big Christmas card list!
As the submissions were so brilliant, there were also four additional designs made available to staff and the wider College community for purchase, created by first year student Ciara and second year students Amelia and Daniel. The profits from the sale of these wonderful designs will be split between purchasing new department equipment and a donation to a charity chosen by the Graphic Design Student Representatives.
Well done to those students that had their designs selected!
