F6 Productions, a College-based production company made up of media and film students, have recently teamed up with a local charity to create a promotional film.  The COATS charity, based in Crowthorne, runs a day centre in Bracknell for senior citizens, providing companionship, food and activities for local elderly people.  The team, led by Senior Media Technician at the College, Will Devereux is made up of second year students James, Ellie, Tim, Ethan, Evan and Molly. They created the promotional film for the charity to use as part of their outreach activities.  Our students expertly scripted the piece and you can watch the finished project below.

David Wilson, a trustee from COATS, said, “All the COATS senior citizens thoroughly enjoyed the visit by the student film crew; it was like an extra entertainment item for them.  We discovered a number of stars among our seniors and they are all very much looking forward to seeing themselves in the finished film.”

Will Devereux, Senior Media Technician and Industry Liaison said it was a fantastic way for students to be able to contribute to the community.  He commented, “Working with David, the team at COATS and the visitors has been an absolute delight.  This was an amazing opportunity for students to experience meaningful and exciting work experience. We look forward to working on more projects together in the future!”

F6 Productions aim is to produce high quality video content for real world clients.  In return, students bolster their production knowledge, develop key industry standard skills and gain valuable work experience.  The productions the students work on help secure places at university or interviews for potential employment.  If you are interested in having a film made by F6 Productions, please contact Will Devereux at the College on f6productions@farnborough.ac.uk .
