A Level English students raced against the clock when they took part in the final of a language-themed competition via the Free Rice website. For every correct answer rice is donated to the United Nation's World Food Programme, so there was a real incentive for students to get high scores.
The English Department has competed in this competition for a number of years in partnership with the High School in Sulechów, Poland, which is twinned with the Borough of Rushmoor.
The three winners were presented with Amazon vouchers by Dominic Eady, Senior Curriculum Manager for English. Our colleagues in Poland will be forwarding the winners' certificates and our college will reciprocate for their three top-scorers.
The students with the three highest scores were first year students Emily Couper, Alex Allison and Holly Hamer. Congratulations to them!
