Physical education and sport students recently visited the Body Worlds exhibition in central London. This exhibition showcases real human bodies which have been preserved through plastination and offers visitors a better understanding of the different organs and tissues and the way that they are connected within our bodies.
The students were able to study in detail the heart, lungs, skeletal muscles and nerves and engage in interactive activities such as measuring stress levels and practicing CPR. There was a huge range of information available to them which will support their A level and vocational studies.
Alice Rose, Subject Tutor for physical education said, "This exhibition is definitely something that all PE and sport students should visit, as well as anybody studying biology or medical science. It’s an absolutely fascinating look at the human body and how it works. I've now been twice and would happily visit again."
