Fine art students create mural
Posted on 21 June 2021

The Community Matter Partnership Project (CMPP), a charity that helps local companies deliver community engagement strategy, recently got in touch with the College requesting the help of our students to create an exciting mural for a new community pantry in Yateley. The pantry aims to support as many residents as possible on a weekly basis to access a range of food items at a reduced price.

The pantry, set up in a portacabin, was sadly not looking its best, and the organisers were keen to improve its overall look. Four second year fine art students, Alicia-Grace Osbourne, Ava Berriman, Larisa Helyar and Emily MacLennan, volunteered to help and created a beautiful floral mural of their own design. The painting, which you can see in the images above, has made the dull building vibrant and welcoming to the community – well done Alicia, Ava, Larisa and Emily!

Rachel Austen, Corporate Volunteer Coordinator for CMPP, commented, “They did such an amazing job, they were so hardworking and lovely – a great representation of the College.”
