Our P.E and sport department recently hosted their annual sports awards ceremony to celebrate both the individual and team achievements from this sporting season. Each team was awarded with a coach’s player and player player’s award and it was great to see such a big turnout from all of our sports teams.
Winners of the main awards:
Team of the Year: Women’s Hockey Team who have stayed undefeated all year and won the AoC National Hockey Cup Finals
Sportsman of the year: Paul Dakunimata, Second year student who captained the men’s rugby team this year and has represented Germany in Rugby 7s
Sportswoman of the year: Stephanie Watsulu, Second year student who was part of the leadership team for the netball first team and was selected as vice captain for the Surrey Storm U19 squad.
Stacey and Lucy Award (contribution to sport) Emma Coulston, Second year student who has represented in basketball, football and badminton and has helped coordinate multiple tournaments this year at college
A big well done and thank you to all of the players, coaches and umpires that have supported and taken part in this year’s season.
