Our students and Grace

West End performer and former student Grace Mouat returned to the College to work with the Performing Arts students. Since her time here, Grace has achieved remarkable success in the industry, with roles in the original cast of Six the MusicalLegally Blonde& Juliet, and, most recently, as Karen in Mean Girls at the Savoy Theatre in London.

All 101 students, across first and second year received expert tuition from Grace, learning various numbers from the show, followed by an insightful Q&A session where she shared her experiences in the industry, a typical day in the life of a musical theater performer, and invaluable audition advice. The students described her as incredibly kind and generous, and the experience was further enriched when they had the chance to watch her perform live at the Savoy Theatre the following day.

A particularly memorable moment occurred during the curtain call when Grace gave a heartfelt shout-out to Farnborough from the stage—a moment the students will treasure. She also sent a video message from her dressing room, thanking them for their energy and engagement during the show.

Emily Southwell, Curriculum Manager for Performing Arts, said "We are immensely grateful to Grace for taking time from her busy schedule to work with our students, and we look forward to following her continued success with pride".
