A great achievement

The Alps Value-Added System is a performance-measuring framework widely used in educational institutions to evaluate examination outcomes. It looks at the progress students make from GCSE to A level/BTEC and ranks us against other schools and colleges in England. We are delighted to receive their Platinum Award, which puts our students' A level and BTEC results in the top 10%.

We are also really proud that our students with SEND, and those from financially disadvantaged backgrounds also achieve in the top 10%.

Simon Reigh, Assistant Principal Curriculum and Quality goes on to say “The Sixth Form College is an inclusive place, where students from a wide range of abilities and backgrounds are supported to achieve truly exceptional outcomes.” This award is testament to this ethos and the hard work that goes on behind the scenes.

Zoe Smallman, Principal reflects on this great achievement “The College Mission is to be a provider of the highest quality education, enriching the lives of students within a lively caring community and enabling all to develop the skills to meet the demands of the changing world with confidence.  Year on year, our amazing students, supported every step of the way by our fantastic staff, achieve outstanding results and progress to really exciting onward destinations; we are so proud of each and every one of them.”
