Some of our exhibitors
This February The Sixth Form College Farnborough once again played host to a dynamic Training, Employment and Apprenticeship (TEA) Fair. Designed to provide students with insights into potential career paths and connect them with employers. The fair drew an impressive crowd of more than 1,500 students and welcomed 46 businesses, many offering training or apprenticeship opportunities.
Among the attendees were industry leaders like AWE, British Airways, Royal Navy and KPMG, as well as public sector organisations such as Hampshire Constabulary and Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Students arrived prepared and engaged, impressing Businesses with their enthusiasm and well thought out questions. One Exhibitor told us that “The students were very engaging and we are looking forward to working with some of them in the coming year offering work experience placements”.
Students, too, found the fair to be extremely useful. “It was really useful and enlightening being able to talk with people who are currently doing apprenticeships and to hear their honest opinions about the experience”, shared one attendee, highlighting the event’s impact on their career considerations.
Another student expressed gratitude for the practical opportunities the fair provided: “I really enjoyed the event as I could ask questions about my career path and it helped me find some work experience for this year.”
We extend our thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the day and look forward to supporting our students as they navigate their professional journeys.
