Each year the Rotary Club announces a range of national competitions designed to give students of all ages the opportunity to demonstrate their talent and imagination. The competitions never fail to generate excitement and interest with each participant receiving a personalised certificate and prizes for the winners in each age group.

The theme for this year's competitions was "Wonderful Water".

Students from College have historically been successful in this competition and 2025 once again saw a number of students receiving awards:

In the Creative Writing Competition – Adam P was Highly Recommended (Regional Competition)

In the Young Photographer Competition, three students from the College submitted entries. Alanna M and Stan S received participant certificates and William M was announced as the Winner (Regional Competition)!

Hanno Niemand, Curriculum Manager for Photography, said:

“These first year students showed their love and drive for their subjects  by taking creative risks to enter this competition.  I am pleased that they were recognised for their efforts as this will serve to fuel their passion for the subject even more. Well done all!”
