Towards the end of the summer term, The Music Department introduced a brand new event hot off the press; Farnborough’s Sixth’s first ever Music Awards 2025. The event was held to honour the fantastic student achievements across all music courses and to celebrate Farnborough’s diverse musical community. Taking inspiration from The Brit Awards, the awards show was decorated with dazzling lighting, metallic balloons, glittering tables set for the students, the awards stage and the main stage which featured various student (solo and band) performances throughout the night. There may have even been a surprise teacher flash-mob to kick the first event off in style!

The Music Awards 2025 featured such awards as ‘Rehearsal Rockstar’, ‘The Unsung Hero’, ‘Future Headliner’, ‘The Peri Award’, ‘Producer of The Year’, “Engineer of The Year’, ‘Songwriter of the Year’ and ‘Most Passionate Musician’ to which each student received their own trophy and certificate celebrating their achievement!

The event was skillfully presented by Christian Green, Second year student and Jacob Bryne, First year student who did a wonderful job at professionally hosting the show and had the crowd laughing and cheering across the evening! Members of staff presented each award and even concluded with their own written speeches to congratulate and applaud the students further.
