On Friday 14 November 2025 the Music Department held the first Ensembles Concert of the year which proved to be a vibrant showcase of the hard work and dedication of staff and students, spanning genres from explosive jazz-rock to sophisticated choral works. 

The Big Band started us off by immediately injecting energy into the room with an Earth Wind and Fire mix. Close Harmony then offered a change of pace with their beautifully haunting performance of No Time to Die by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell.

Chamber Choir showcased their ability to switch between the lively traditional No Time and the heartfelt devotion of Here I am Lord.

After the interval, the Orchestra delivered a captivating set, expertly mixing classical tradition with modern cinematic including Hans Zimmer’s Zoosters Breakout from Madagascar.

Contemporary Voices brought the evening to a soaring conclusion. Come Alive from The Greatest Showman provided a perfect, rousing finale, leaving the audience and performers alike energised by joy and good music!
