Maths students receiving their certificates

The Senior Maths Challenge is a 90-minute, 25 multiple-choice question challenge aimed at students in Year 13 and below. The problems included are designed to make students think, and the paper is made up of stimulating problems for both beginners and experienced problem-solvers.

This year we had over 500 students taking part in the challenge and are very pleased to report that 48 of these achieved Gold Certificates, almost 180 of our students were awarded Silver Certificates, and the same again for Bronze Certificates. These are amazing achievements!

The three students who achieved the highest scores have made through to the first round of the British Mathematical Olympiad, which is for the top 1000 highest scoring students in the country! The first round of this competition has already taken place and we are eagerly awaiting the results.

Many of the students who achieved Gold Certificates in the Senior Maths Challenge also went on to take part in the Senior Kangaroo round which is for the top 8000 students nationwide.  They were awarded 1 Gold Certificate, 8 Silver Certificates and 14 Bronze Certificates – very many congratulations to all these students

A great set of results all round, and many congratulations to all students who took part!
