Here at Farnborough, we are dedicated to fostering strong connections between local businesses and education. Throughout the academic year we organise a variety of events where our students can find out more about their future possible career paths and make connections within the world of work.
During STEM Week in January, experts from the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths share their insights with our students and outline different career opportunities within STEM.
Each year the highly anticipated Training, Employment & Apprenticeship (TEA) Fair takes place in February. This event features over 40 exhibitors, offering our second year students valuable information about career options and opportunities as they prepare for life after sixth form.
Our Moving On Day in July brings together more than 80 exhibitors and over 150 seminars at which first year students gain a wealth of information in order to explore potential careers paths and future opportunities.
New for April 2025 - "Connecting Classrooms and Careers: Equipping Students with the Skills to Succeed."
In April the Community Matters Partnership and The Sixth Form College Farnborough are hosting a Community Minds event: "Connecting Classrooms and Careers: Equipping Students with the Skills to Succeed."
Taking place at The Sixth Form College Farnborough on 2 April 2025 from 8.30am-11am, this Community Minds event will bring together leaders from the local business community together with education experts from the College to discuss how businesses and education can better work together to ensure that students finish their formal education with the skills that they need to succeed in the workplace.
