Our students outside the prestigious destination
Students recently visited the colleges of Oxford University for their annual open day finding all about life as an undergraduate including information about halls, sample lectures, interviews and listening to the student ambassadors talk enthusiastically about a range of courses.
The visit provided a really insightful experience which will help our students in their progression planning and thinking about the next step after college. It was an exhausting but thrilling 6 hour tour of many famous colleges and faculty centres.
Angeline Guo studying English Lit, Maths and Law said "I found that the Oxford open day trip was very useful in letting me visit a number of different colleges and to see their different atmospheres."
Nicole Brown Calvet studying Biology, Chemistry, Maths & Further Maths found the visit 'informative' and David Obishakin studying Computer Science, Maths and Physics said how 'he loved the prestigious university and how attending it would add so much value.'
Matthew Sheppard, Director of Faculty and Claire Hayward, Subject Tutor History who both accompanied the trip were equally captivated. Matt said "as a teacher I still find the place fascinating and intriguing with a special atmosphere that only this amazing seat of learning can afford."
