Katie Lambert speaking to our students

On Friday 29 January 2016, students welcomed the return of former student Katie Lambert. Since finishing College two years ago, Katie has worked in Number 9 Downing Street as Diary Secretary to the Chief Whip.

Rather than accept her university offers, Katie decided to take a place on the Civil Service Fast Track Apprenticeship. She came back to Farnborough to explain the scheme to our current students and to explain her role in the heart of government. Katie's role has changed significantly since the Conservatives won an outright majority in May and was able to carefully explain how the government maintain control of the House of Commons.

The students really enjoyed Katie’s talk, with one student describing her presentation as ‘inspirational’. Indeed, several of them stayed after the talk to speak to Katie personally. Many have now expressed a desire to enter the fast track application process in the future.

You can read more about Katie Lambert on ‘Our Alumni’ page here. Find out more about how we support our students by showcasing the opportunities which they have when they move on from College here.
