Freshers Week 2025
Posted on 25 September 2025

Freshers’ Week 2025 was our biggest and best yet, giving students the perfect chance to settle in, meet new people, and find out more about the opportunities our College has to offer.

The week began with a relaxed Monday Meet Up, where new students were invited to bring their lunch, chat, and get to know each other.

Tuesday saw a much-anticipated Students vs Teachers basketball match, with the students claiming a HUGE victory 22–13 in front of a lively crowd. The Krispy Kreme doughnut sale was just as popular, selling out in record time, while Molly the therapy dog graced the campus with her calm and friendly presence.

The Greenhouse came alive with live music from some talented student performers on Wednesday, who performed crowd-pleasers from bands such as Muse, The Cranberries and Radiohead.

Finally, the week peaked on Thursday with the Fresher’s Clubs and Societies Fair (moved to Sports Hall 1 as it grew so much!), where hundreds of students signed up to a huge range of enrichment activities, from sports and debate to creative and cultural societies. This year’s Fair featured 50 stands, including representatives from various college services and a local Labour MP and her team. Pizza, sweets, and giant deck chairs in the Quad added to the fun, with Millie and Rosie, the College’s therapy dogs, stealing the show as students queued up to say hello.

A huge thank you to all the staff that helped make the week such a success!
