PAPAs 2015
The glittering frocks were out and the heels ludicrously high, but the annual Prospect Awards in Performing Arts (PAPAs) on Thursday 21 May 2015 were another brilliant celebration of our amazingly talented and gifted young people.
This Oscaresque evening was hosted by first year students Thomas Stewart and Brittany Meakin, along with guest presenters who were previous recipients of the awards. The nominees were announced and, after a tension-filled pause, the winners were crowned to a packed Prospect Theatre. Awards in dance, drama, technical support and musical theatre blended seamlessly with live performances of contemporary dance, rousing Shakespearian speeches, Greek Tragedy and thought provoking, beautiful harmonies.
Matt Sheppard, Senior Curriculum Manager for Drama and Theatre commented on the evening, “We are truly blessed and honoured to be in the presence of talent that one would not begrudge paying West End prices for - such has been the quality and depth of entertainment on offer. They have all done The Sixth Form College Farnborough proud.”
