Our 'Sports Leaders' Students
Our popular enrichment group ‘Sports Leaders’ were recently tasked with running the Association of Colleges (AoC) rugby 7’s regional tournament for men and women. 12 colleges from across the South East of England took part in the tournament.
Our 21 Sports Leaders students were responsible for ensuring that the whole event ran smoothly – they collected results for each game and liaised with various staff including referees and representatives from the AoC.
The day was a massive success and our students were praised for their hard work and dedication - “Thank you so much for all your and your students' help on Friday. It was brilliant! The students were great!” Our students did such a fantastic job that members of Hampshire Rugby Club have asked them to organise events on their behalf later in the year!
Sam Wilson, Sport & PE Enrichment Co-Ordinator, commented, “I am very proud of all of the students for their hard work and professionalism. Considering the group had only a month to plan a whole event for a national tournament, they did an amazing job!”
