15 of our psychology students recently attended a talk by Jon Ronson called 'Psychopath Night'. Held at G Live in Guildford, it marked fifteen years since the publication of Jon's book 'The Psychopath Test'.
Most of the evening centred on Jon Ronson sharing his journey into understanding of this area, which included him meeting Robert D. Hare and being trained in use of Hare's Psychopathy Checklist. There were several special guests during the evening who had personal stories relating to psychopathy.
Nigel Wooldridge, Senior Curriculum Manager, Psychology and trip lead said: "It was a really interesting evening, and Jon Ronson proved to be a very engaging host, sharing the stories of people who act with charm but without conscience in pursuit of their own agendas."
