KS5 Spanish study day
Our Year 12 and Year 13 Spanish students took part in a full-day workshop at the British Film Institute focused on Volver, Pedro Almodóvar’s iconic film and a key text in our A level curriculum.
The day offered an enriching and inspiring experience from start to finish. Students had the opportunity to hear from leading scholars in Hispanic Studies, including Professor Sarah Wright and Dr Miguel García, who offered fascinating insights into the film’s themes, cultural context, and cinematic style.
Beyond the academic depth, the day also became a wonderful chance to meet new people, share ideas, and, of course, practise plenty of Spanish!
We all enjoyed a memorable outing that brought learning to life and strengthened our students’ connection with Spanish language and culture.
